I bought a Coltrane record the other day, Bahia, it was a double LP re-issue from the 80s.Really awesome. It had a duet record with Paul Quinichette as the second LP. Great buy even if it was $20.

Also, this thread keeps crashing my browser.

Chi of the Deftones finally died. Was in a coma for over a year after a 2008 accident and was in a semi-conscious state till now. Over 4 years of hell for his family only for it to end that way =/

Listening to Anamanaguchi's new album, and it's making it very hard for me to be grouchy.

I like this a lot, but I was expecting so much more after both Cancer4Cure and R.A.P. Music blew my fucking mind.

Amber bought the new Civil Wars last night, something tells me I will be listening to it a lot (if the last twenty four hours are any basis)...

The version of this on the album blew me away... as did the rest of the album, this is up there with The Flaming Lips The Terror as a strong candidate for my favorite album of the year.

I expected throwaway cuts/beats from C4C a and RAP music but was pleasantly surprised. Plus Prince Paul as Chest Rockwell was great!

If you listen very closely on Music of My Mind, at the end of Sweet Little Girl, Stevie is all shit talking and it fades out and he yells "don't make me get mad and ACT LIKE A NIGGA!" and its the funniest thing ever.

so... Civil Wars has overtaken NPR as the ride to work listening for the time being, so today was filled with the Beatles and The Beastie Boys, my main music loves (along with Neil Young, but none of him today)

Think i am gonna put They Might Be Giants on now, though.

listening to the deluxe edition of Strict Joy by The Swell Season.

Today also saw visits from Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche, Songs from the Big Chair by Tears for Fears, and Bach: Sonatas & Paritas by Chris Thile

So, it's been an eclectic day
