While personally I've been really enjoying Superior Spider-Man, a lot of my long term fellow comic geek friends have been trashing on it. I've sort of taken the approach to read the title knowing one day Parker will return and by doing that I've just found this to be a fun arc.

On the flip side the critics that I know tend to always fall back to comments like "why doesn't anyone realized he's changed?" "Parker would never do things like this", etc.

I've always found Spider-Man to be whiny and one of the characters that has needed some significant updates - so I've been LOVING the title.

Any other fans out there, or am I riding this boat alone? :D

I'm right there with. These Otto Spidey stories have been some of the best Spidey stories I've read in years.

Ever since OMD, Peter Parker has meant very little to me so I too have been digging an Ock driven book.

I'm enjoying it like I have with pretty much all of Slott's run.

Superior Spider-Man is brilliant, it's freshened things up. I love Peter Parker, but as said, his stories and character can get a little repetitive. This book is anything but repetitive, each issue shakes things up.

I assume it is a fun alternative take on Spider-Man. It is not going to be forever.

I love this book and the twist this Slott's run has taken.

The pre-Slott era of BND when Waid and those guys were all alternating issues/arcs was better.

And this is not Spider-Man.
