It's time for some franchises to be extended with new gag manga! Durarara! goes superdeforrmed in Minidura, a Youko Umezu illustrated series joining Dengeki Maoh in the geek media mag's September issue, which went on sale September 27th.

Meanwhile, Gundam goes domestic with Gundam Apartments, which recasts Bright Noa and the crew of the original series White Base as apartment tenants. Salya gets the role of sexy manager, while Amuro is of course the problem child.

The Santa Harukaze series kicks off in the September issue of Shonen Sunday S.

Days after posting a support message video from character designer Akemi Takada, streaming anime and crowdfunding platform Anime Sols announced that fans have pledged the $19,000 to support a DVD release of 1983 magic girl classic Creamy Mami. Translation has already been complete, with just packaging and authoring left left to do.

Toei Robot Girls, the project that turns Dynamic Planning and Toei Animation's robots into beautiful girls, is relaunching as a series of television anime shorts next January. The stars of the new Robot Girls Z series will be Z-chan (a girl reimagining of Mazinger Z), Gre-chan (Great Mazinger), and Grenda-san (UFO Robo Grendizer).

Together the trio form Robot Girls Z (a.k.a. Team Z), a unit assigned to promote the future energy source Photon Energy and eliminate enemies who seek Photon Energy for themselves. (Photon Energy comes from Go Nagai's original Mazinger Z manga and anime.) Usually, the team operates from Nerima Ward Oizumi Academy's Photon Energy District in Tokyo.

The Seiyū Sentai Voicetorm 7 (Voice Actor Force Voicetorm 7) manga will become what the staff describes as the "first motion comic to air on NTV." Original story concept creator masaki collaborated with the talent agency 81 Produce and artist Sae Matsunaga to create this series about a team of voice-acting heroes who protect the peace for Earth and otaku.

The motion comic will take the original manga and combine it with spoken dialogue, motion effects, and other special effects to create 12 15-minute episodes. The series will premiere on NTV in October.
