I have to be precise, it's just that neither of you get it, which is almost as enjoyable for me

precision and accuracy go together.

Precision is when your results are grouped together, like throwing darts on a dart board and they all land in the same region. Accuracy is when those darts land in the center of the dartboard where you should be aiming. So obviously the closer you are to the center of the dartboard the more accurate your throws are.

even if we ignore that sciences have specific definitions for precision and accuracy and instead choose to use them as interchangeable terms it doesn't suddenly mean that there are not degrees of accuracy.

I'll let Merriam Webster do my digging you thick headed clod:

ac·cu·rate
ˈakyərit/
adjective
adjective: accurate

1.
(of information, measurements, statistics, etc.) correct in all details; exact.
"accurate information about the illness is essential"
synonyms: correct, precise, exact, right, error-free, perfect

Which is STILL besides the point, but, like I said you're you.

It's indisputable that when performing experiments and collecting data that there is both a term precision and another term accuracy which have different meanings

But you're right that is beside the point because you are still wrong that something cannot be more accurate

What's more indisputable is that only a moran like you would go out of your way to try and counter a dictionary definition with a scientific definition. :smt005

And you're STILL not getting it, and the funniest thing is you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Victorian Squid wrote:Well, that's two mistakes hab's made in this thread. He also got the words "precise" and "pretentious" confused.

Sit on the back of your chair slim, it was a joke, not directed at you.

And we're comic book guys, being pretentious is the currency we deal with, you literally sweat it.

As evident by the number of children in the Terror household, and also the many illegitimate lines as well, yes.
