Hey Arion, not sure you get this in your part of the world but...

Evangelion 2.22 Runs on Adult Swim's Toonami Tonight

Adult Swim's Toonami block will air the Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance film tonight at 12:00 a.m. EDT (Sunday morning). For some reason I thought he said this before...

Hayao Miyazaki Retires From Making Feature Films

Studio Ghibli President Koji Hoshino announced on Sunday that studio founder and world-renowned anime filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki will "retire from the production of feature-length films." The announcement was made during a press conference at Italy's Venice Film Festival, one of the three most prestigious film festivals in the world. Ghibli's announcement does not rule out the possibility of Miyazaki working on shorter projects or other endeavors.

That's fun. Neon Genesis Evangelion's Toji Suzuhara is on the list, but I don't see Shinji or Kaworu. Nobody thinks they're good boyfriend material?

Gurren Lagann Staff's Kill la Kill Anime Gets Manga

The October issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace magazine announced on Wednesday that a manga adaptation of Trigger's upcoming Kill la Kill television anime series will launch in the next issue on October 4. Ryou Akizuki (Asura Cryin', Uchuu no Stellvia) is drawing the manga.

The story is set on a high school that the student council president Satsuki Kiryūin rules by force. Wielding a giant Basami scissors sword, the wandering transfer student Ryūko Matoi brings about upheaval on the campus. Ryūko searches for the mysterious figure who caused her father's death, but confronting her are the student council's "four divine kings." Fortunately, Ryūko is aided by a talking sailor uniform who tells her, "Wear me. When I am worn by you, this power will become manifest."
