Multiple websites are reporting that Marc Andreyko has been announced as the new writer of Batwoman at Baltimore Comic Con. According to Bleeding Cool, Andryeko will take over as writer of the series as of Issue #25, which will tie into Zero Year, a large Batman crossover set in the past. Departing creative team JH Williams III and W Haden Blackman were previously solicited on the issue, which was to be the penultimate chapter in the current storyline. While Williams and Blackman said they were going to finish up the current storyline, which was to run through Batwoman #26, those plans are now in doubt.
Bleeding Cool has put up a video with Dan Didio discussing Batwoman at Baltimore Comic Con, in which he stresses that as a Bat character, Batwoman is not allowed to have a happy personal life and asked the panel to name another publisher that's committed to not allowing their characters to grow (or something like that.
