Interesting... I wonder if the more popular ones should command the higher value as there were probably more printed.

The idea could have worked in the hands of competent people at DC but we all know that competence is a rare commodity in that camp nowadays.

I don't think it was all that good an idea to begin with to tell the truth. I don't mind theme months as they can be fun, but adding special covers on top was bound to be a little too much.

Hence my point here-In the hands of competent people this could have worked but no......

But my point was that even in competent hands the combination of the two was destined not to work.

Which is why I was pretty indifferent to this all for the most part.

Liar. You were overjoyed, they'd just given you another stick to beat your "Didio can't do anything right" dead horse with!

Well, the Outhouse got a lot of mileage out of it, too.

But we all knew that no matter the blunders, DC would make a killing with these covers. And that would only mean more ridiculous cover gimmicks during even more ridiculous theme months. Which doesn't really affect me. I buy two comics a month and I get them digitally. But still... it's a bit annoying to watch. Like all the things I didn't like about the nineties to the Extreme.

Which I didn't think was even an option.

Maybe, but I didn't claim to be indifferent.

WTF is this rank?

Postby Chesscub » Mon Sep 09, 2013 12:52 pm

Well I was able to get the remaining ones I was looking for at the Baltimore Comicon. It was interesting to see how much people had them for.

One booth had some for $5 (mostly the Joker and Darkseid) Others had them for $8. But it seemed like the average range was $10-25. The Ventriliquist and Poison Ivy ones were the most expensive ones.

Now I find I need to get Catwoman 23. :smt013

I considered the idea of a "Draco X is angry about DC"-counter (as opposed to the Zechs one), but I don't know if I could afford the bandwidth involved in that many resets.

I saw a few of them at a store in Birmingham this weekend and I thought they looked awesome. If I bought floppies, I'd have probably went for them, but the digital age has me hook, line, etc.

How about "Syxx Is Really Didio's Mole On The Outhouse" counter instead?
