I just meant it hadn't been officially announced, I wasn't implying there were shenanigans. If Parker says he's the new permawriter, he's the new permawriter. Damn, you guys are paranoid. :P

My comment was in jest, though you guys should probably always be at the ready to reset the counter...

I get multiple tweets demanding we do every day. I have to say, "we reset that counter for that last week" or "that's not really a new stupid thing as much as an extension of the last one." People are bloodthirsty.

Nice job breaking fandom, DC.

Nice job fostering a more-times-than-not negative atmosphere that breeds contempt, Outhouse

Fixed. If he started with the previous issues, he wouldn't make it to the good ones.

This doesn't bode well for Vertigo.

No way, you can't blame us. 9/10 times our articles are more good humored about these issues than the rest of the internet. At least, when I'm writing them, I'm laughing, not angry.

Sure, the counter has served to focus and channel a lot of The Internet's DC hatred, but that's DC's fault. The Outhouse didn't make a large portion of the internet hate them. DC did that.

If that's true, then as Superwoman said, I'M the only thing the Crime Syndicate has to worry about. That must make ME more powerful than the DCnU Justice League, Justice League America, Justice League Dark, Teen Titans, and every other hero in the DCnU present.

Even a fake me is worth more than all the fake heroes of the nU put together. AWESOME. 8) 8) 8)

Peter David did a better job of making Aquaman interesting and important, and had a longer run, to boot. And he wrote the book without harping repeatedly on Aquaman's poor reputation due to Superfriends[/url], like Johns did.

Yeah, I feel like a college girl snookered by a chatty married guy for going ga-ga over Aquaman at issue 9, back-buying the missing issues, and treating the mag as one of the privileged "day and date reads" (that I read in my car while driving out of the LCS parking lot into heavy traffic).

Everything was going great until "Atlanteans Attack!".

And yeah the Aquaman "superfriends" jokes started out funny but faded quickly. For one thing, how many of DC's "new readers" have even heard of the Superfriends? "Superfriends? Wasn't that a knock-off of the X-men animated series?"

We all know that singing Aquaman from the Brave and the Bold cartoon is the one true incarnation of Aquaman! :groucho:
