Scott needs to go on trial and needs to be found guilty. He's showed ZERO remorse for his crap and moreso is ACTIVELY DENYING HIS CRIME OF MURDERING XAVIER and more to the point, Magneto should just execute him on the spot NOW, especially since we have an untainted young Cyclops to replace him that hasn't done any of the evil, vile shit that his future self has done, to replace him.

(Bonus points if they fridge the bitch Emma Frost, LITERALLY chopping the c*** up and putting her into tupperware containers and putting her into Namor's fridge. Bonus points if Black Panther is the one who kills the c*** as payback for Namor wiping out Wakanda.

There is a REASON why fans forgave Hank Pym for punching Wasp in the face but still hate Scott Summer. Hank showed remorse, Scott NEVER shows remorse for his adultery, child abandoning, mentor murdering. The Wolverine haters are always full of shit when they cry "double standard", which is bullshit on the highest order given that Scott NEVER EVER faces the consequences of his actions and writers bend over backwards to villainize anyone who gets fucked over by Scott (poor doomed Maddie) to make Scott never face the consequences of his actions.

To be fair, Cyclops just tends to be the whipping post for shitty writing. Despite my username, I'm not a huge fan of his, but I can't help but notice how he seems to almost always be trapped in this hurricane of terrible writing and editorial interference. Claremont was going to write Scott out of X-Men, he was going to settle down with Jean and leave the X-Men. But no, Jim Shooter wanted Jean to pay for her crimes so she had to die. "Fuck you, Jim," said Claremont, through the medium of loopholing out of the editorial mandate by creating a Not-Jean in the shape of Maddy Pryor. Now Cyclops could settle down and have kids, which is something Claremont made happen.

Then, however, they wanted to bring back the original team and Shooter said they could only have Jean back if she was somehow absolved of her crimes as Dark Phoenix, hence the nauseatingly bad retcon of her actually being in a little pod in the sea the whole time, with Phoenix actually being a totally separate character, like a murderous Jean Grey tribute act. Because they forced Jean back, and forced Scott back with her via X-Factor, it took a dump so huge on what was meant to happen with Cyclops that you'd need to fly Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck into space to destroy it before it landed.

This all happened because, frankly, Scott had reached the end of the line as a character and was being written out to be a happy family man. That would've been that, but the forces that be manipulated and distorted him like a Stretch Armstrong doll. That seems to have been happening ever since; he's a pretty boring guy by nature, and it's hard to do anything interesting with him, so he seems to just fill in the negative space around a series of terrible writers' plots.

So, Scott needs to go on trial for something that he did while possessed by a cosmic entity that is worshiped by more advanced civilizations as a god? What about Namor, who laid waste to an entire kingdom while under the influence of that same entity? What about Wolverine who not only kills children but time itself? Better yet, when will Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and Reed Richards be put on trial for creating a clone of Thor that murdered Bill Foster? Worst of all, why hasn't Wanda been held accountable for the untold loss of life and sheer destruction that she was personally responsible for as a result of the House of M?

(Bonus points if they fridge the bitch Emma Frost, LITERALLY chopping the c*** up and putting her into tupperware containers and putting her into Namor's fridge. Bonus points if Black Panther is the one who kills the c*** as payback for Namor wiping out Wakanda.

Why would Black Panther kill Emma Frost in retaliation for Namor attacking Wakanda? Besides, then Black Panther would have to go on trial for murder Emma Frost.

I don't hate Scott Summers.

Hank showed remorse, Scott NEVER shows remorse for his adultery, child abandoning, mentor murdering.

And Wolverine does? I seem to recall that Scott Summers was thrown into the general population of a prison that was ran by people who were profiting off of the suffering of mutants without due process. Wolverine on the other hand can go around murdering whoever he wants and NOBODY bats an eye, hell he runs a freaking school filled with children!

Again, I see no point in arguing about Cyclops because the X-Office itself doesn't seem to have a clear plan for him. Depending on which writer you get, you might get a totally different Cyclops.

Now, that's just not true.

Don't you remember all the legal trouble he got into in Uncanny X-Force after he killed his son? Or in Aaron's run after he killed the rest of his kids? Or in Age of Ultron when he went back in time and killed Pym, then went back in time again and killed himself? Or in Rucka's run, where he killed all of those guys? Or when he went to jail in Tieri's run? Or in Hama's run? Ellis' run? Dealing with the legal repercussions of his assaults and maimings has been a staple of Wolverine comics ever since the Claremont/Miller mini.

What's that? It HASN'T been?

How dare he be possessed by an absolutely all-powerful and all corrupting entity. :x

That's what I don't understand when people are talking about young Jean Grey going on trial for future crimes. Hasn't it been established and corroborated that the Phoenix Entity is NOT Jean?

Ugh. The Jean Grey thing is pretty damn annoying. All of us know that the "Dark Phoenix" in the original Dark Phoenix Saga wasn't actually Jean Grey but was the Phoenix Force itself in Jean Grey's form. That's the continuity we've lived with ever since X-Factor launched. Nothing contradicted this take on things for decades.

And then came AvX where the writers seem to be the only people to NOT know this. And because they regarded Dark Phoenix as Jean Grey, the CHARACTERS IN THE BOOKS regarded Dark Phoenix as Jean Grey. Even those who should damn well know better.

Did it make the event stronger to think of Dark Phoenix as the real Jean Grey? I don't think so. Maybe it made thinking of the Phoenix Force as the kind of cosmic entity that liked to possess and empower... and corrupt... mortals easier? I don't know. The only thing I DO know is that I have no idea what Jean Grey was running around in X-Factor and X-Men up until her last death.

But F continuity, I guess.

Wanda and Black Widow are very attractive. Cyclops, on the other hand, isn't .
