First Look: Forever Evil #2

Preview of the pencil art for issue #2

Source: DC Blog Press Release

Today DC Comics released a preview of 3 pencilled pages from Forever Evil #2

Writer Geoff Johns adds:

"The Crime Syndicate is a great way to explore our heroes through a different lens and say, ‘This is how our world could have been'.  Throughout the series, in both FOREVER EVIL and the JUSTICE LEAGUE books as well, we'll get to see how the Syndicate formed and why they're here and what they want. And in contrast to the question of how Ultraman and Superman are different – how are they similar?"

Forever Evil #2 goes on sale on October 2.

Are the 3 variants (The ones after the B&W variant) the Villain A, B and C ones? Are they in the correct order too?

Just 'cause I want to pre-order an issue and may be going for one of these variants.

Johns keeps the plot moving along quickly here as we see that the Crime Syndicate is extremely methodical in their take-over, while Luthor gears up for his rebellion.

[Reveal] Spoiler: Click to Expand
- A bit more on the Syndicate's prisoner although his face is still covered
- Superwoman is pregnant with Owlman's baby
- Another reference to the "thing" that attacked Earth-3 and made the Syndicate flee their world. Ultraman fears it's heading to the main Earth. Could it be Darkseid or The Anti-Monitor ?
-The Teen Titans take the battle to the Syndicate and are quickly taken down by Johnny Quick. Did we just see the creation of Justice League 3000 ?
- Luthor releases his not-yet-ready super-clone, Subject B-Zero (Bizarro)
- Batman and Catwoman are alive and bring Vic Stone to his father at STAR Labs.
