This is no Person of Interest, but I actually really enjoy it... Spader makes it easy for me too. A lot of little storylines being introduced, a lot of cool villains, and some good amount of action/intrigue.

Anyone else watching this?

Yeah, I'm wondering just what Spader's character is getting out of this. I'm liking it, but the lack of full understanding about just what is his motivation is hampering my enjoyment somewhat.

I like it so far, but keep being freaked out seeing James Spader fat and bald.

My thing is this:

The girl is really his daughter, or her he promised her real father to look out for her (he knows she used to have highlights, so he has been watching her for a while)

And I think he is dying, he is going to go out with a bang.

It's okay, you just own me a nickle for doing my schtick.

I'm just happy to see a thread on the show going and more folks talking about it. :-D

I think she's his daughter, but I don't think he's dying. I think someone found out who she really is and that person(s) are out to injure him through her. I also suspect that she may be his biological daughter, but not the one he abandoned as described in the first episode.

After all, who really is watching her? The FBI? Spader? Who is it?

Both are possible, I'm sure we'll find out eventually.

Normally I don't mind a bit of mystery when it comes to a character's motivation. For some reason, this time I'm just not liking not knowing why a character is doing what he's doing and I'm not sure why I'm having this reaction this time.

Not enough tease on his motivations perhaps?

So, we know he has an Adversary...
Who are the people who are watching the hubby? Do they were for Red?
And finally some light will be shed on the gun in the box.

I like this show. Spader is fun.

I'm really enjoying this show.

I just wish it was on at a different time. Right now it's the same time as Castle, which is my wife's favorite show. My DVR can only record 2 shows at once and you have to watch one of them! Most nights I can watch the football game until it comes on and be ok with that, but next week the Bears at Packers is the MNF game and there's no way I'm turning away from that!

me and my wife also believe that she's his daughter,

but if that turns out to be true, I am going to have 1 complaint, there is no DNA tests done on him? Her DNA isn't on file? I mean how could they have these 2 people side by side for soooo damn long and never actually discover they're related.
