![]() Nobody is mad that X-Men: Battle of the Atom #2 has "The Great One" Brian Bendis on the cover despite being mostly written by Jason Aaron. Source: ThanosCopter Newswire The Outhouse was not excited last night to receive via Twitter a hot tip about a breaking non-controversy involving superstar Marvel Comics writers "The Great One" Brian Bendis and Jason Aaron, the credits for the X-Men: Battle of the Atom crossover, and a murdered hooker. Sorry, that was a misprint, there was no murdered hooker, but there was a snafu with the cover credit for X-Men: Battle of the Atom #2, the final chapter in the epic crossover. From "The Great One's" Twitter:
As you can see, this is really no big deal, and we're definitely not gonna blow the lid off this scandal, and under no circumstances do we plan to shine a light on the seedy underbelly of the industry and its credit misprinting, hooker murdering ways. Scratch that, we only meant credit misprinting, not hooker murdering. In a quick Google Images search that we wouldn't dare call an in-depth investigation, we found a copy of the cover to the book and can confirm that "The Great One" Brian Bendis is indeed listed on the cover, a fact no one doubted since why would Bendis lie about it. To find out more about this, we didn't lock Bendis and Aaron in a room with Ace Reporter and supervillain signature vehicle ThanosCopter and ask them tough questions until one or both of them cracked, so this is a fictional transcript of that interview: ThanosCopter: Gentlemen, is this the end of Marvel Comics as we know it? Jason Aaron: What are you talking about? "The Great One" Brian Bendis: We're totally cool. TC: Are you sure? BB: Yes. TC: No one's mad? BB: No. JA: It's not a big deal. TC: No one's walking off the book. BB: This is the last issue. TC: Neither of you are planning to quit Marvel with a tell-all blog post? JA: No. BB: Nuh uh. TC: To be clear. No one killed a hooker? BB: Nope. JA: Not me. Without enough evidence to bring charges, we had to release them. And also, because we're not the police. In conclusion, X-Men: Battle of the Atom #2 is in stores today, it's the best the X-Men have been in years, and the book is apparently mostly written by Jason Aaron, even though it says "The Great One" Brian Bendis on the cover, and we look forward to the comments complaining that if this were DC the entire internet would be going crazy and boo hoo hoo it's not fair. Outhouse Editor in Chief Christian Hoffer insists that we point out that, to the best of our knowledge, absolutely no hookers were murdered by Jason Aaron or Brian Bendis, and The Outhouse is certainly not implying any differently.
