Good story. Middle-of-the-road, and all, but nothing bad. Kind of thinking about dropping Nightwing, though.

Uh oh, that makes me nervous. Now that Brett Booth is off of the title and Nightwing's identity has been revealed to the world, I was considering picking it up again. Did the quality of the writing drop recently?

No, but we've pretty much come to the conclusion of the arc that's been going on. I'm thinking of freeing up some money and that would help.

Ah, , good. I think I'll check it out when it starts dealing with the fallout from Forever Evil.

I'll say, though, in comparison to the DC books I buy - it's probably at the lower end, just above the Superman & Action Comics (which are pretty much the worst). I think of Nightwing as a dumb-fun book, I guess. If you want some suggestions on quality DC books, you can't go wrong with any of the Lantern books, Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing, or Animal Man. The Flash used to be on that list, but with the change in creative team, that's up in the air.

I was enjoying Nightwing before Brett Booth joined the creative team and if it wasn't for him, I probably would have continued reading it. Although I give Nightwing a little more leeway than I give other titles. I agree with you about The Flash and the creative team change. I am very hesitant about the future of the title but I'll give it a chance. As far as the other titles are concerned, I still own the first 5-6 issues of Wonder Woman and I have considered picking it up in trade to catch up because I usually hear nothing but good things about it. I dropped both Swamp Thing and Animal Man after Rotworld from pretty much the same reasons you gave from dropping Nightwing. I have heard a little bit about the direction of both titles since but nothing has really stood out enough to pull me back in. Finally, I think I am going to take a sabbatical from all things "Lantern" for awhile. I have read the main Green Lantern title consistently since 2003 and I think it's a good time for a break.

If you can, grab a copy of the latest annual for Swamp Thing. Hell, download it if you must. It's very very good.

Yeah I pretty much agree that I didn't like this big reveal either.

He didn't say anything about disliking any reveals.

I was talking about Nightwing's identity being exposed in Forever Evil. If I misread the comment, so be it.

With Will Conrad on art, the book could just be pinups of Nightwing and that'd be all it would need. The cover of the latest issue s practically gratuitous.

Is it good even if you don't have context? I read the first trade and nothing since, but I've wanted to read Soule's run.

Well, I would think so. You may should read the prior arc. It's really awesome and gives some new background on the Green and the Parliament of Trees.
