or, just maybe, someone pitched the idea of a Muslim super hero to Marvel, they thought it was a good idea, and decided to advertise it in such a way that made the product seem unique. Perhaps even try and reach a segment of the population that, for whatever reason, has felt left out of market.

I dunno, I never studied marketing or business and I have no idea if companies like to make money or appear special to the people buying their products.
