As much as I hate the extended governor storyline and spending entire episodes away from the prison, I probably enjoyed this episode more than any other this season so far.

The Gov may be (been?) a manipulative bastard,a psycho and maybe a crazy evil fuck, but damn...he really is a bad ass.Just check how he brawled with those walkers inside that pit.

A half hour in and I'd rather be shaving my balls.

4 minutes of action does not make a good episode. This was boring as hell.

So the Governor has two wives and a daughter now? I like Indiana Governor. Why does the description of the episode say:

As the world around them begins to fill with various threats and familiar faces, the individual members of the group desperately search for the humanity that has been buried deep beneath the chaos of the surrounding horror.

When the episode was a Governor solo story?

But other than that confusion, really great episode

Oddly enough, episode 41 of Breaking Bad also revealed the back story of that series' major villain. It was a compelling hour of television though, so it did not have much in common with the last 40-or-so episodes of The Walking Dead.

Wow. Wide range of votes for this week.

I like the idea of an episode to fill-in what has been going on with the Governor, but I thought it was executed poorly. Are we really to believe that the family is that stupid to let anyone into their home?

Yawn fest.

I have no sympathy for this character so any redemption he may have been trying to attain was lost on me.

And keeping the stupidity flowing - Of course one of the ladies falls for no reason and twists her ankle mere SECONDS before a horde comes.
Stupid moment #2 - the Gov uses a femur bone to pull the zombie's head off - why didn't he just go 2001 A Space Odyssey and use it as a club? (Oh - right, that wouldn't make him a 'bad ass').
#3 - "He may have been gone for a while" Really? Were the Apartmenters so naive about what was going on outside their window that they took a "while" before telling the rest of thier family (and the Gov (who were barely 10 feet away through the open door))? That must have been one hell of an intense chess game.

And what does this show have against blondes? Andrea - dumb as a rock. Lil' Andrea and pet zombie stuff earlier this season, and now Even Liller' Andrea who's only reason to freeze in the middle of the road was so that the writers could (not) pull the heartstrings of viewers as she accepts the Gov as her new Daddy.

I'll give the show credit for one thing - they stressed that oxygen tanks explode so I kept waiting for the Gov to blow them all to hell.

A VERY weak episode.

And how fortuitous that he encounters the only walkers still possessing enough good sportsmanship that they only attack him one-at-a-time

The decision to humanise the Governor and show what motivates him so that he's not just a cartoonish villain was a terrible one.

He is - and should be - an evil motherfucker, through and through. From the first moment that we see him, that's how he should be portrayed.

They dropped the ball with this character. Big time. It's probably too late to fix it now.

The way they handled it in the comics was 1000x better.

Question: The little girl was looking for her father because he went to the store to get beer and a lottery ticket. This sounds A LOT like the story of the little boy in Iron Man 3!

Is it stealing an idea, and stupid?

Or a nod to the fans and funny?

That was boring and stupid.

Does everything have to be explained? He got away and now he's back. The end.

Also, since sexism has been a topic lately, that was pretty sexist. These women need the big strong man to save them and get their father's oxygen? And then one of them needs the comfort of a said strong man while they have sex next to a little kid? WTF?
