First Look: Forever Evil #4

Unlettered preview art from the December issue

Source: DC Blog

In FOREVER EVIL #4, Batman must deal with the guilt of Nightwing’s identity being revealed. And even if Dick Grayson returns from the Crime Syndicate alive, will his life be forever ruined now that his deepest secret is out?

Meanwhile, Batman and Catwoman come face-to-face with Lex Luthor and his growing army in the halls of Wayne Enterprises. But what are these two teams doing there? And how does Bruce Wayne have a yellow ring?!  Are Batman and Luthor fighting for the same thing or against one another?

Writer Geoff Johns states that Lex Luthor will remain a central character to this storyline as he ralllies his own team of villains to fight the Crime Syndicate. Johns also teases that he delves more into Earth-3's Power Ring, the mythology and relationship to his ring, and how he differs from Green Lantern.

Below check out two preview pages of interior art by David Finch and the variant cover by Ethn Van Sciver.  You know things must be getting really desperate when Batman decides to take Catwoman to the Batcave for the first time.  But how safe is that ? Shouldn't Owlman also know the location of the Batcave ?  Find out when this issue hits stores on December 24.

Does anybody really hope this explains what the hell a volthoom is? Like half a decade writing GL and he brings in an astronaut as the Origin of Lanterns and leaves it there. Wont give us an origin, but will write off a permanent ending to all the (earth) lanterns.

Why would this storyline do that?

Gotta say I have been loving the Forever Evil mini thus far! A few of the tie in books have been really great too, espeically Rogues Rebellion and Arkham War.

No, it was all very clearly explained that Volthoom was the astronaut who later became the First Lantern.

He can be hit and miss with me, but more often a hit. He has done a great job on Forever Evil thus far, but sometimes he can seem a bit rushed. Saw him draw an amazing Wolverine vs Batman pic in person at the Baltimore ComicCon a few years ago that blew me away!

His stuff on the Dark Knight book was really well done too. Also his Moon Knight book from a few years back was great.

I remember that Batman Sinestro Corps design from several years ago. Nice to see they brought it back.
