What if she comes back from the dead and then either quits the Avengers or goes to a different squad?

She's a pretty shitty character to begin with.

Rogue's alright when she's written well. Unfortunately, Remender doesn't write Rogue well or even tolerable.

After the cameos by characters like Doom 2099 and future Psylocke from Remender's Uncanny X-Force run, I feel like the issue really took a dramatic downward spiral. Yes, stuff happened and 3 characters "died" but it didn't feel compelling but rather very forced. Every now and then a writer can come along and make some dramatic changes during a time travel story that feel real and impactful. Unfortunately, this just wasn't one of those times.

I almost pick it up. Because of McNiven.

There is no what ifs as she will be back at some point. Does anyone really expect her to stay dead?

No, and that's the problem. Endings like this had a lot more impact before every Marvel and DC dead character started coming back from death. There was a time, back when characters stayed dead, that these events meant something.

They don't anymore.

I fully expect much of this arc to get retconned at the end. We're dealing with way too much timey wimey shit for there to not be a reset.

And I don't care.

It's great. It's fucking amazing.

It's everything that made Remender's X-Force run great. This dude is such a continuity geek...

After finally sitting down and easing the first half of Fear Agent, I understand his unpredictability. I'm enjoying this a lot.
