Review as often or as little as you like. Once you've posted 5 reviews, you will be awarded 1 pick. You can post 5 reviews, right? That's a totally achievable goal and with day and date digital releases becoming the standard, it shouldn't matter if your shop ordered enough copies of this weeks comic or not. When multiple Review Groupers have posted 5 (or more) qualifying reviews, they will be awarded their pick in the order that they qualified. What constitutes a qualifying review? Any review posted (with a score on a scale from 0-10, that's right 0!) within 1 calendar month of the thread going live. Reviews are to be at least 5 sentences long. It shows that a) you have at least read this week's pick and b) you have some unique insight into the comic. Reviews posted while waiting in line for your pick will be applied to your next pick. I'll be keeping track of everyone's progress with the newly christened Spreadsheet of Fantastic (RIP, Spreadsheet of Doom) and reporting the results in the Current Members list in the weekly OP. When it's your turn to make a pick, I will PM you. If you do not respond to me by Midnight EST the following Sunday, you will lose your pick and I will start a poll to determine that week's selection. Any week in which we do not have a Review Grouper with 5 qualifying picks, we will determine the week's comic via poll. If it's your week to pick, remember to keep it under $3.99. This one-shot has a big problem it has to deal with. The basic plot points of Inhumanity have been established, mostly in Infinity, already. How do you write an introductory chapter to a story that has already had introductory chapters and make it work? The answer that this issue gives, in my opinion, is that you don't. Nothing in this issue was badly written, I'm not going to go into a rage demanding my money back. The problem is that the ship has already sailed when it comes to what Fraction is trying to do here. The effect is the feeling of a very average story that doesn't stand out in it's own right at all. 5 out of 10 |

I'll admit, not being that big of a fan of the Fantastic Four I don't know much about the Inhumans beyond that they are not mutants, Medusa is kinda hot, and one of them was dumb enough to marry Quicksilver. With that lack of knowledge I appreciate the history lesson this comic provided. Other than that, this did nothing for me. If the purpose of this issue was to inspire me to read the next issue then it failed. It taught me about the Inhumans but didn't make me care. Its basically the Pheonix Force re-awakening the Mutant gene, but for people with some Inhuman Blood. Whatever. The are was nice 5 out of 10 |

Karnak is not an A lister, heck he'd be hard press to make the D list most days. But the potential he had with his absolutely unique power set, it's... it's just a waste. And to commit suicide? Ugh. As for the story itself, nothing about it is very interesting. You have Karnak basically telling Bruce Banner to stop touching me, which these Avengers over-react to and then it's just a lot of talking until the heroes just watch Karnak jump. It took pages from into the story from when it was obvious he was going to break the window that any number of things could have (and should have been done). Stark's comment about 'what's he gonna do - he can't fly' in the face of what was completely obvious, is about as stupid as his plan to send the Hulk into space years ago. The only thing remotely good about this book was Karnak - so of course Fraction kills him. ![]() Writing - 2 Art - 7 Overall - 4 |

I totally agree. Maybe all of the deaths and resurrections in mainstream comics have me jaded, but hyped up deaths like this have me feeling like my intelligence is being insulted more than anything else these days. |
