Comics come with the opposite of that.

I read Sex Criminals myself. I like Image when its been written by Marvel writers who do BOTH

so you liked invincible and walking dead when fat bob was also working for marvel?

I read Walking Dead (note: READ; I never paid for it) until Kirkman murdered the child, at which point I decided I would never read his stuff again. Probably....paid attention to what was going on in Invincible..until the girl had an abortion, and that was a good enough jump off point

I quite liked Irredeemable Ant-Man, I've no problems admitting that. I still think if he'd stayed at Marvel, biding his time, writing books that have "Cancelled in 12" written all over them , he would have built himself a respectable career to slide into creator owned stuff

It's too bad he threw all that away.

I know this is hard for you to accept, but there are some people who want good writers writing the characters they grew up with.

Yes, and Fraction leaving Inhuman is a sign that he can't do both, we're not seeing him stop Sex Criminals are we?

I want some outrage!

Come on, where's the old Bass?

Hey, there's a GREAT example: look at Charles Soule. I mean, he's taking on ....probably way too much work. Is he on a hiding to nothing with Thunderbolts and Swamp Thing? Probably. Is he complaining? No - he's doing the work to raise his profile now, which is what Kirkman should have done instead of bitching about not being allowed write Ultimate Spider-Man

I can't believe Bass still thinks THIS forum is anti-Marvel.

I don't know how anybody can criticize Kirkman's approach when he is making more money than anybody at Marvel now.

Have you seen a pro-DC thread that hasn't been?

Pretty much any thread that talks about Fraction and Aja's Hawkeye or virtually any of the new X-Men material are overwhelmingly positive, even when the X-Men threads digress into conversations about which side is right. Can't really say that there are very many conversations about the current Captain America series that are not civil or constructive either. Hell, I can't think of a single Marvel thread that has been as negative as the average DC thread in quite some time.

"Punchy" review of Uncanny X-Men #15 (Bendis/Anka)

Holy fucking shit, the balls on Brian Michael Bendis. I can’t actually believe that he did what he did in this issue. He only went and introduced a Marvel Universe version of perhaps the worst character he ever created

"Punchy" Review of Justice League of America #10

More Forever Evil fun, as Matt Kindt continues to explore Stargirl’s origin in way more detail than we probably need, but it’s all well-written and interesting stuff.

So, I think we know where your biases lie.
