Yes ladies and gents, they're back.... I know it's been a while but I am back in the right frame of mind to question a good chunk of you. This Top List will not be characters, but more along the theme of Top Creative Runs we did and will be Top Comic Book Writers. You can base your list on all time writers, you can base you list on current writers, you can base you list on just Marvel or DC writers. No matter what you base it on, I need a Top 10 list from you.

Like all of the other Top Lists before this one, you will send me a Top 10 lists of your favorite Comic Book Writers. For first place, the character in the #1 slot for all your mental slowpokes, the character was given 10 points, for second - 9 points, for third - 8 points, and so on and so forth. Then, all the points were added up, and ranked in order of points received. From there I will spend hours, days, even weeks shaking my head at the some of yours lists while I tally the totals. And once all is said and done I will post the results for all of you to bitch and complain like you did when The Hood made it into the Top 50 or when Bullseye beat Red Skull, Ultron, Kang and Magneto on the Top Marvel Villains list.

I like to add this little tidbit, someone pointed out to me that as good as an X-men writer Claremont is/was, one of his best stories (Dark Phoenix Saga) was co-written by Byrne. So, you can put writing teams on the list as well as individual writers.

For example, your list can look like this:

1. Bru
2. Bru/Rucka
3. Rucka
etc
etc
etc

The writing team will be a separate place on the list because and will be consider diffferent from their solo work... make sense?

And please, I like to think I know a lot of writers in the comic biz buuuuut i'm sure there are a few out there on some obscure indie book that I have never heard of. So if you want to add those to your list, put the books they write in brackets just to help me out. If I cannot find anything on the writer, its hard for me to do a write up about them, so be prepared for me to ask you for help. Speaking of help, once again I am asking you to give me quotes. I love quotes. I love long even quotes more. Some people are afraid to do a little write up, why? I have no clue. I use them in the write up, unless I lose them or something (which has happened... sue me).

I will need your list no later than Feb 2/2014 11:59, so write that date down!!!

Oh, and if we are lucky we may see the return of the One Point Club..

You know what to do, folks..

Do it, Rockapella!!

Yeah, this is going to be tough. I can put Mark Gruenwald in the top spot on my list, but beyond that I'm going to have to think.

Wow - this is tough, I've already had to eliminate...
Alan Grant, Bill Mantlo, Carl Barks, Denny O'Neal, Doug Moench, Herge', James Robinson, Jim Shooter, John Wagner/Alan Grant, Kurt Busiek, Mark Gruenwald, Mike Baron, Neil Gaiman, Paul Levitz, Peter David, Roger Stern, Roy Thomas and Steve Englehart (and I still have more to eliminate).
