I hate that new Adam Strange costume. It reminds me of Mcniven's redesigned Guardians outfits.

That being said, I really like the over all team and I'm curious as to what Lemire is going to do with this book.

Also the cover artist should have been informed on Supergirl's new status quo or has that already been reversed?

I do find Supergirl's vag patch a little disturbing.

I would like to see a Canadian team in the DC Universe but not sure I want them to be an incarnation of the League. I know DC has had a few Canadian characters in the past so why not just have them form a group or create some new Canadian characters before launching a series?

Wasn't Clark also portrayed by a Canadian actress in Smallville?

In any event, I just hope Moose-Canadians are represented among the heroes on the team. If they aren't, it's just blatant discrimination!

Upon further staring at the cover, I feel like the fox next to buddy is a direct reference to a certain internet song and that the monkey on the cover is supposed to look like detective chimp to trick longtime detective chimp fans into reading the book.

I'm on to you Lemire!

(No I'm not serious)

Adam Strange should always be just a special guest star in a JL book
and yes, the Hitman is the best their is, was and ever will be

And WTF is she doing in her regular super-suit when we know that she's turning into a Red Lantern by April? Do these guys even TALK to each other when doing the art and stories with the same characters?

Apparently not.

This cover reminds me of "Guardians of the Galaxy".

I suspect it's intentional.

Interesting choices. My question though is Stargirl and Martian Manhunter are in JLA so I see a line up change.

This title really makes DC seem almost like they, as a company, have institutional ADD. They keep jumping from thing to thing.

"Let's make another JL title and call it JLA! They can be frenemies with the JL!"

"Let's have the various JLs fight each other and be REAL enemies!"

"Let's have JLA become JLC!"

"No! Let's have JLC become JLU!"

They can't seem to stick with anything for more than a couple of months. At this point, they should probably get rid of the concept of the ongoing series, and just put out 52 4-6 issue miniseries and just keep cycling them. For bonus points, have each mini be set in a different universe, so they can do 52 cycles, one per universe.

I know it sounds crazy at first but that is 90% of the way to what DC is already doing, just not formally.
