Look at this thing! :smt011

Image

It's so big. It cuts down the size of the actual cover way past where it should. I remember the Green Lantern movie banners that DC had a few years a ago that were just so awful. I created a thread and called DC on that back than. Now I'm doing the same with Marvel

In it's own way, I think this banner is worse than those Green Lantern banners.

Yep, I do. :-D

Even a couple of years ago, Marvel had the movie adverts as blurbs that resembled the old cover boxes. I didn't mind that,as it didn't seem intrusive. There's really no good reason to have something that big.

Ah, just like the good ol' days when covers were filled with all sorts of unnecessary, oversized text:

I don't see that as being the same thing though. That stuff at least still has something to do with what's happening between the issue's covers.

True, but I'm always looking for an excuse to post covers from the '70s. :-D

I think Green Lantern Movie and Arrow TV Banner on DC were worse. Here is just clashes with the art.

It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have the obnoxious red banner on the bottom, too. I hate that thing.

 just think how much money they are saving by limiting the cover artist.

I think the Green Lantern banners clashed worse colour wise than this thing does. In that way they were worse, but what makes this even more annoying is it's sheer size.

I don't mind that red banner on most covers, but yeah, here it just makes a bad situation even worse.

Remember the old days when they'd just put the movie promos on the back cover?

Guess they need the ad revenue more now.
