I'm psyched about that.

I have a question about that league. Will the lower place teams have some sort of advantage in the next draft like more money?

I think it depends on who they are keeping.

It should be fun.

One thing we did in a league I did with friends a few years ago was to have a penalty for keeping people. It was a basketball league with a 12 man roster and a $200 salary cap and what we did was have your keepers add $10 to their price in the next season. So if I drafted Dwayne Wade for $80 and wanted to keep him he'd cost $90, but if I wanted to keep Andres Biedrens the next year and I got him for $2 it would only cost $12. Plus you could only keep a guy for 3 years before having to drop him. It added a nice wrinkle to the keeper formula that didn't exist if you just keep the same price or for an unlimited number of years. You would be more likely to keep folks you got for a great deal than your top guys.

Maybe we could do a similar thing with like a $5 penalty or something since it's a larger roster and a similar budget.

I'd rather do it like salary plus 10%. This way, you pay a bit more on the expensive players, but if you are smart enough to find a $2 bargain, you're rewarded for it.

That's cool too. I just think adding to the price is a neat thing.

So, I just picked up Michael Cuddyer to replace Markakis in my OF.

Thoughts on Cuddyer this year?

Obviously, I'm hoping for a rebound from an injury-ridden 2008.. I think he could put up decent numbers for me (relatively, considering the spread-thin the OF pool is in this league) if he stays healthy
