 @ next weeks promo. So this is what Root was talking aboutwhen she said 'the others before Reese'. Thought she only meant Ingram. Instead its a former partner who was more like the Punisher than dedicated to saving lives.

Great episode. I love how this show ties so much shit together.

It was fun seeing Reese and Shaw from before they joined up with Herold. We have seen that before of course, but in this episode it was more involved than the quick flashbacks we've seen most often when dealing with those two characters' pasts.

"She had a warrant! A real one! What was I supposed to say? 'Sorry, boss. Agent King is actually a superpowered nutball. Just ask my buddy, the urban legend."

Maria Martinez hasn't appeared before has she? New character to look forward to?

Agreed, I still don't like Root, but she's a fun character to watch.

I don't know she at least had some heart in this episode. I really love this show a little more every week.

Oh, I'm not saying I won't eventually warn up to her. However Harold is my favourite character in the show and I'm finding it difficult to forgive her for what she did to him in her first few appearances.

The machine doesn't give a fuck about that shit. Maybe you should try to be more like the machine, Stephen. Wouldn't you like to be more like the machine, Stephen?

Well, yes, I think we'd all like to be more like the Machine.

Not seen this latest episode yet but Harold is my favourite character, as well, and I did feel my loyalties divided a bit when the show (and the Machine) started to focus on Root a bit more. I've warmed up to her a lot, though. I mainly want to know what the Machine thinks of Harold at this point. For example, I notice that I started to like Root a lot more when she said that Harold has the kind of relationship with the Machine that he wanted to have and that the Machine respects that. I guess because it means that the Machine isn't picking favourites?

All of this is just descriptive, by the way. I'm just trying to analyse my emotional reactions to characters and story events, I'm not saying this is how things should be or anything. It's just kind of interesting to see how this stuff works.

I dig Root, but I think she is going to sacrifice herself for her god...

And I look forward to an alternate opening with the Decima dude doing the introduction and not Harold once his machine is up and running.

It's probably coming. This episode, and the previous one showing Harold's prior "Mr. Reese" were great for showing different perspectives centered around the Machine.

Yeah, reminded me of the episode where they introduced Shaw, which was great.
