C2E2: After Original Sin Changes Marvel Universe Forever, Axis Will Change It Again

An Avengers and X-Men super-mega-crossoever event will immediately follow the Original Sin super-mega-crossover event.

Source: Newsarama

If you were hoping to catch a breather from line-wide, status-quo shattering blockbuster Marvel Comics events after this summer's Original Sin, the future looks pretty bleak for you. At the No Really We Swear We're Gonna Kill Wolverine panel at C2E2 today, Marvel teased their next next super-mega-crossover event: Axis. The logo for Axis uses an Avengers A and an X-Men X, so we can assume it will onvolve both teams and consist of rampant character assassination on Scott Summers.

While no details were revealed, sources close to Marvel Editor in Chief Axel Alonso tell The Outhouse that Axel is very excited about the event and that nothing in the Marvel universe will ever be the same when it's done. Additional unconfirmed rumors have surfaced suggesting that readers may find their senses shattered after reading the comic, and that this is a story that Marvel has been laying groundwork for for over three decades. We here at The Outhouse don't like to speculate, but we think there's a pretty decent chance that Marvel's superheroes will face tough choices that force them to choose a side, and that the repercussions of their actions will have a lasting impact on their lives for years to come, or until at least the mid-winter super-mega-crossover-event that follows the early winter super-mega-crossover event that follows Axis.

Stay tuned, suckers true believers!

Constant events is what keeps me away from Marvel.

How can you assassinate something that doesn't exist?

Hmmm, the Marvel "the event and that nothing in the Marvel universe will ever be the same when it's done" is in early this season.

Hell, I remember when they only showed up once a decade, then it became every other year, then it was an annual thing like going to get your prostate exam.
Now I can set my date on the calender for a hair cut with these Marvel "the event and that nothing in the Marvel universe will ever be the same when it's done" hoodoos.

I almost feel sorry for the schnook that writes and updates the Marvel Comics Events page at Wikipedia. But then I think of the one at Comicsvine with all the pictures and well... that person is fucked.

This makes me not want to read "Original Sin".

And being that this will be tied to "The Death of Wolverine" in some stupid way (like they try to find him in Hell and bring him back then make him choose to be an Avenger or an X-Man)

It'll probably  be worse than that

"Angel" Wolverine will be on the Avengers
"Devil" Wolverine will be on the X-Men

I like where you're going with that - Wolverine Red & Wolverine Blue!

To be fair Original Sin actually did have a big and very lasting impact on the marvel comics universe with different characters like for instance Deadpool found out he had a daughter and it was revealed that he killed his parents isnt that what you'd call a lasting impact. Though I do think marvel should at least limit these big universe changing events to one per year so they can really dedicate time to explore what has changed and expand upon storylines
