You definitely should! You can always backup your pictures and videos automatically to icloud or Dropbox.

The good definitely outweighs the bad.

I wouldn't. You can buy a comparable tablet for less money. It's only worth it if you plan on using iTunes or you care about a lot of apps. I have one and will never buy another one.

I think you get 5 GB for free. I'm not sure if photos count towards those 5.

Yes, 5 GB is what you get for free. My Surface offers 7 GB of free cloud storage plus takes memory cards and you can hook up a USB flash drive or hard drive.

Seems like the benefits of the Surface outweigh those of the iPad, Arion.

At least as far as storage is concerned. Being able to wirelessly hook up to my PC and transfer files back and forth is great too.

I was a day one supporter of the iPad. The problem with that is since Apple puts out new models every single year the original one became an obsolete piece of junk. Since it can't run any of the new operating systems I can't update half of my apps or even download the new one's. I paid $600 for something I could use for a few years. At the end it was constantly crashing and freezing up on me while I was online. I picked up my Surface for $200-250 on Black Friday and have never looked back. I don't care for iTunes, so I don't even miss that. The iPad has a ton of apps like Vudu which are not on the Surface. I don't need a Vudu app though because my Surface can stream directly off the website.

I feel the same with my 4th gen iPod touch. Apple's great... at getting people to spend money on the "latest and greatest" year after year. :x :|

My brother ran into the same problem with his iPod touch.

Apple is great at getting people hooked on their brand. Once they sink their teeth into someone they can't break free. They get people to pay more money for less. Their one ace is the list of apps available to their devices that third parties make for them. They throw the same device out every year with minor improvements and people line up to get them. Apple is smart. They won't get me to buy anything from them again though.

That's a large part of why I can't seem to distance myself from Apple products. :?

They have you for life.

I got my mother and my niece into the Surface this year. I got my father into the Kindle. My brother is the last one with an Apple device and once he gets a new MP3 player my family will be free of Apple. FREE I tell ya.

That sounds beautiful. One of these days I just might break free. At least, I hope.

I saw the first four seasons. It was good but I moved on before the season finished. I have the full series on digital copy. I'm going to watch it once I get caught up on my backlog
