In an age where DC is replacing characters with new people in order to be "kewl and hip!", it's nice to see a great book like Batman Beyond continue to chug along and month after month continue to deliver great and exciting stories.

If you liked the Batman Beyond cartoon, you should be buying this book.

If you like the Justice League cartoon, you should be buying this book.

If you liked Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, you should be buying this book.

Issue #13 just came out and it revolves around Mask of the Phantasm and the Return of the Joker movies.

The past few issues revolved around the Justice Lords from the JL cartoon.

If you've overlooked this book, give it a chance. You won't be disappointed. I'm not.

If you hate this book or won't even give it a chance, I hate you and you should just kill yourself. No, seriously. Do it!

Anyhoo, take my advice and buy Batman Beyond. It's one of the best books out there now!

This has been one of my favorite comics since the series started. Anyone that was a fan of the Bruce Timm/Paul Dini animated Batman Universe will be doing themselves a disservice if they do not read this series.

Really disliked the JLA portion at first, the Phantom Zone stuff was also being done in Superman/Wonder Woman and Brainiac attacking was kind of lame. But the Justice Lords story with Zod’s origin was pretty cool. And I really like the expanded JLA.

Batman’s been really fun, especially loved Terry meeting himself but him being on the outs with Bruce is overdone.

So wait.

Are the Justice Lords not the future Justice League anymore or whatever JL retconned them into? Did BBU actually do a mirror universe story?

Multiverse. I always just saw the Lords as the Animated version of Earth 3.

I look forward to this book each week. DC's digital first stuff is so much better then the rest of what they publish its not even funny.
