Hey, I'm a geek, but I don't argue about the geek stuff. With that I told you what I read. I also called BSG for over rated crap during the first season.

I blame Twin Peaks.

B5 did it the right way, with JMS having a clear idea of the story he wanted to tell. But it never had the network support that Twin Peaks did. Twin Peaks wanted to tell a story...albeit a quirky one...but it was all over the place. And this led fans to speculate wildly on its twists and turns, and ultimately, the twists and turns became more important than the story it told. I mean...aliens and dancing midgets and shit?

There were no aliens on Twin Peaks, fool. And it was better than any show mentioned in this thread, except LOST.

It's like that old joke: even midgets don't dream of midgets. Or dwarves. Or whatever the fuck that backwards ass muthafucka was. And Lost...have they figured out a story to go with, or are they still successfully distracting your ass with polar bears and time travel?

How did a polar bear get on a fuckin tropical island? Well, I'm sure it's just a clever mystery instead of some shit they pulled out of their ass to keep people watching. Thank god time progresses differently on the island so no one there can see how much the show sucks in real time.

Here's the one that pisses me off the most I think: Why is that a Cylon, which the writers insist is a artificial life form, can bleed, emote and even get pregnant and how a human doctor with absolutely no previous knowledge of their anatomical structure can diagnose and operate on them regularly??

Because the writers don't feel the need to explain that in the middle of a show that isn't about that. The show has a story to tell, and the characters have stories as well. People can come to their own conclusions, but its not neceassary to the main narrative of the show.
