I'm becoming a clothes hoarder

:(

I just bought more clothes. I need to go through my closet tomorrow and throw out what I don't want. I just threw out a bunch of old shit a couple weeks ago (mostly stuff with holes in them).

Don't throw them away - give them to charity! You never know what can be done with them...

You can't call yourself a charity just because you want Keb's hats!

Silly! :P

No, what I mean is that there are loads of people out there who can use old fabric. I mean, Susanne's business is founded on that very principle after all.

I know what you meant. :) Hell, half my wardrobe comes from thrift stores. And I have to give a conference presentation in Dallas in February...my suit will come from a thrift store. :-D

There's nothing wrong with that! I'm amazed at some of the great stuff that people just get bored of and toss.

Very true. My favorite shirts are from thrift stores - 2 of them are old work shirts. I think the people quit/got fired and gave them away. I love searching for work shirts - I've yet to find the ever-elusive service station shirt. :( And I'd LOVE to find a Pizza Hut shirt like the one I wore in college. It was really comfortable, but Geneva hated it because it was filthy. I didn't believe her, but then one day I noticed she was absolutely right and that it was full of caked-in oil from my days working there in high school. I tore it up in a gesture of love...er, passion, actually

I have one, the name tag says Casar.

I hate buying clothes, but I am in need of new pants for work. The ones I have are showing their age.

90% of my shirts these days have a band's name on them. I get a lot of them on ebay these days, and I'm in the middle of tossing out a lot of my older ones. Adios Offspring and Reel Big Fish shirts!

I can't toss out my rapper shirts. I have an extremely ratty Aesop Rock shirt that I just can't part with (it's rare and out of print, which helps).

I didn't think of thrift. I usually put my clothes in the donations bin near my house, but the old hole-y stuff I just throw out because it's usually pretty gross.

I might keep the good stuff. I have a pair of combat pants that I bought 4 years ago but wore only a couple times. My mom said she'd sew them into shorts for me (they're too short, they don't cover my ankles) but she'll never get around to it. I might do it myself.

Lemme check my closets. I may still have a shirt from when I worked at Texaco years ago...

That'd be awesome. I'll trade you a pitcher of beer for that thing, if you've got it. :D

Seeing as I've got to get down to Orlando at SOME point while I'm living in NC. I'd also like to hit up New Orleans, since I'm in the Southeast. Then, other than Alabama (which I have no excuse to visit at this time), I'd have traveled throughout the whole Southeast.

You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.
