(and yeah, i would like to see Jason as Batman, just for the insanity of it all)

I think it'd be cooler if Bruce came back, saw Dick doing an awesome job being Batman, and took over the Oracle/Batman Beyond role Bruce played, being the mentor over the cowl's radio.

Yes he was. Just right after Knightquest and right before the Troika storyline. Fought Killer Croc as Batman.

Odd though isn't it that this particular change is being done after that particulary successful change.

ACtually, an interesting story for Tim, since he's the detective, would be to have him somehow come across a clue that Batman isn't dead, but just somewhere else, then use Tim as the character trying to bring Batman back. Gives his something to do, works towards a long-term resolution to the saga, and leaves Dick free to be Batman.

Oddly enough, that's the plot of the new Red Robin book... Image

Doubly ironic when you figure Jason Todd and Bucky were both brought back at the same time as well. One was done well though, which isn't ironic. :)

From what DC's said, that's the pitch behind the Red Robin book. (edit, this has already been said )

After reading the first issue and hearing about the future bat books, I think all of this Battle for the Cowl stuff will be pretty cut and dry- Dick=Bats, Tim=Red Robin, Damien=Robin.
The only question is what will happen to Todd, but I'm hoping Jason=dead again and am willing to call a number to make that happen.
