I just got it today and I'll be working my way through it over the next few days (400-odd pages...).

Funny thing. I came across a story, Me and the Cat own the Lease and the Flat (or something) by Jamie S. Rich and Joelle Jones. The layout and concepts seemed very similar. So while I was reading I was trying to put the image of where I'd seen it before and I realized this: A while ago Alan Reuter drew it and posted it up for us to see. His didn't have dialogue (or colour) but it was pretty similar. I found the thread but Alan's taken the pics down.

Interesting. I'm looking forward to the Corey Lewis, Jim Mahfood and Mike Allred pieces.

I really really really liked the Foodone strip. Hilarious, and so well-drawn! I also liked the Corey Lewis and the Mike Allred. Those were fun. It's been pretty good so far.

I realize what I don't like about mainstream superhero artwork.

Alan has a story? Cool! This thing is huge, I'm scared of reading it. :D

No, he drew an old Oni script he found lying around. Turns out that same script was used in the anthology, but drawn by Joelle Jones.

But I still think Alan's was better (from what I remember).

When I was flipping through it Ninja Platypus was the only thing that stood out. I thought it was one of the turtles at first.

Started reading it. I knew the Mahfood was going to end like that. But still, it was funny. I really liked the Madman one but what was the deal with Allred's art? He usually has really clean lines.

Some of these artists are very good. Looking forward to v.2 for the follow up story with the little kids.
