Meat mincing machines, also known as " meat grinder ", are kitchen appliances, often metal utensils, which allows the meat to be crushed with great ease and without the help of any other accessory. They are usually used to make minced meat manually from whole pieces of meat, which allows to obtain a homogenous product free of tendons, cartilages and other hard parts of the meat. It is a safe, clean and efficient way to obtain minced meat, either pure or mixed, and that avoids the complication of crushing the meat with knives or sharp and dangerous utensils. Although it is an own utensil of butchers, anyone can be done with a meat grinder for home use. There are two types of meat grinders : the manual ones , which have a crank that you have to turn so that the meat passes and is crushed, and the electric ones , which achieve the same result with the push of a button. The main advantage of the manual mincer is that it is much greener, since it does not consume any electricity, besides it can be washed without problems, since it does not contain any kind of circuit. The electric chopper, on the other hand, is more comfortable and ensures that the motive power of grinding is constant and, therefore, the result is much more homogeneous. Electric Meat Grinder The use of the meat grinder , either manual or electric, is extremely simple. However, it is necessary to take into account a series of elements. First, the pieces that are inserted in the chopper must be clean beforehand and it is convenient that they are not larger than cubes of three or four centimeters thick, to avoid obstructions in the appliance. It is also advisable to salt the meat a posteriori, and not before passing the meat through the structure, as it could damage it or remain attached to the chopper and end up blocking it. It is also advisable to pass the meat in small batches and several times, until it has a smooth and homogeneous consistency. |
