Always in motion is the future

Source: Exclusive: Future ‘A Star Wars Story’ Spinoffs on Hold at Lucasfilm

Not long after Disney  bought  Lucasfilm, an ambitious roadmap was laid out for its most famous property, Star Wars. While the films slipped to be Christmas films (aside from the most recent Solo: A Star Wars Story), the schedule held: a new Star Wars film every year; alternating between the saga and anthology films.

Well, that appears to be coming to an end if rumors are correct. According to Collider, their sources indicate that future anthology could be put on hold. It's possible that Solo's lackluster box office is the cause for the pause, but it isn't clear. So, we may not be getting the rumored Obi-Wan Kenobi or Boba Fett movies anytime soon…

Before the angry  babies fanboyz start celebrating though, Collider says that Star Wars IX is still on the way, as well as Rian Johnson's new trilogy, and another set of movies by the Game of Thrones creators.

So, despite the possibility of not having the "A Star Wars Story" films in production, there should still be a lot of Star Wars to watch on the big screen. There is also things to view on the smaller screen, including the upcoming animated Star Wars Resistance, and the live-action Star Wars series by Jon Favreau, set in the time period between the Return of the Jedi and The Force awakens (and maybe on the Disney streaming service).

Or you could just read some comics or books… You can find some stories about Obi-Wan or Fett there…

UPDATED (06/21/18):

Though they did not specify "A Star Wars Story" films, Lucasfilm says that the rumors about the non-Saga films are "inaccurate" and:

Lucasfilm told ABC News there are still "multiple" Star Wars films currently n development that have not been officially announced. Those projects are moving forward separate from an already-announced "Star Wars" trilogy being overseen by "The Last Jedi" director Rian Johnson and another series of movies from "Game of Thrones" producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
