A ghostly one and a cephalopod…

San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2018 is next week and Marvel is already teasing a couple of things they will talk more about at their Spider-Man panel Friday, July 20.

The first title being teased is a Ghost Spider series. Ghost Spider is the new name for Spider-Gwen, the Spider-Woman of Earth-65. It's a good time for an announcement for this character, as the Spider-Gwen series ends this month. The Spider Ghost name was first introduced in the Marvel Rising multimedia initiative and will get larger exposure when the character is seen in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated movie.

The second tease lands on the more villainous side: The Superior Octopus. This incarnation of Doctor Octopus is a result of the events of Superior Spider-Man and Dead No More. The revitalized Ock was revealed during the Secret Empire event. Seems like a new series is launching this October since the tease uses the "Doc Ock-tober" pun.

We'll just have to see what happens next week… unless someone spoils it beforehand…

Well, "Spider-Gwen" is a HORRIBLE name.

Maybe these will be good.

(I liked the Superior Spider-Man and I hope the Superior Octopus is just as good).

Marvel has now announced that the title name is already changing .. to Spider-Gwen Ghost-Spider.

So what's All New, All Different about it? It's losing the "A.K.A." in favor of getting a hyphen.
