Ze rules:

Post your review in the forum thread or in the comments section here on the front page.

Review as often or as little as you like. Once you've posted 5 reviews, you will be awarded 1 pick. You can post 5 reviews, right? That's a totally achievable goal and with day and date digital releases becoming the standard, it shouldn't matter if your shop ordered enough copies of this weeks comic or not.

When multiple Review Groupers have posted 5 (or more) qualifying reviews, they will be awarded their pick in the order that they qualified. What constitutes a qualifying review? Any review posted (with a score on a scale from 0-10, that's right 0!) within 1 calendar month of the thread going live. Reviews are to be at least 5 sentences long. It shows that a) you have at least read this week's pick and b) you have some unique insight into the comic.

Reviews posted while waiting in line for your pick will be applied to your next pick.

I'll be keeping track of everyone's progress with the newly christened Spreadsheet of Fantastic (RIP, Spreadsheet of Doom) and reporting the results in the Current Members list in the weekly OP. When it's your turn to make a pick, I will PM you. If you do not respond to me by Midnight EST the following Sunday, you will lose your pick and I will start a poll to determine that week's selection.

Any week in which we do not have a Review Grouper with 5 qualifying picks, we will determine the week's comic via poll.

If it's your week to pick, remember to keep it at $3.99 or under.

Like most things in Donny Cates Thanos run Cosmic Ghost Rider as a concept is fucking stupid and shouldnt work. It also makes perfect sense. Its packed full of comicbook goodness on a genius level. Of course Frank ends up with a flame head. Vengeance has always been his raison d'etre and he never stays dead for long. Hes been promised heaven by angels and resurrected by monsters. Hes not going to sit back whilst theres still someone who needs Punishing.
This issue takes us from Franks death at the end of Thanos Wins, to the start of a fantastic new status quo. It sets up a cosmic lone wolf and cub by taking us through could you kill hitler when he was still innocent.
I cant wait for issue 2! 7.5/10

I had no idea this version of Frank Castle existed before I saw this series solicited in Previews. My thought when I saw that solicitation was that it looked like a dumb idea for a series. I probably wouldn't have read this if it hadn't been chosen for this particular week's review pick. Now that I've established all of that I do have to say that I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this. It wasn't the best thing I've ever read, but it was fun enough. I thought I would hate it and I didn't.

The first couple of pages did a good job of quickly catching up readers like me who haven't read any of the Cosmic Ghost Rider's past stories. From there the story takes a bit of time to jump to the main plot. What is written is interaction between Castle and Odin. These are two characters I never thought I'd enjoy seeing in a conversation, the dialogue does a good job of keeping things interesting though. Once this is done the main plot of the series finally started.

To finish this review off I'll asked the question, Will I be buying other issues of this series? The answer to that question would be no. I liked it more than I thought I would. but I can't say the character really interests Me. While I did enjoy this issue I didn't enjoy it enough to want to see what happens next.
