I have my doubts that Christopher Robin is coming out in October. Disney usually only puts out one new release a month and Ant-man is it. It isn't available to order at Amazon or Walmart. Target has it but it says no release date yet. Bull Moose (A local retailer) has a placeholder date of 1/1/20. Best Buy says 11/6 and that's most likely it.

The voice actors really made a difference, imo.

I felt that the WW2 aspect was downplayed too much, even for a PG film.

Still, it's a feel good movie with the Pooh and co bringing their usual charm.

You wouldn't say that if you knew what they were.

Anyone need a code for Casper? I don't know where you redeem it now. It used to be UV and iTunes. Might just be MA now.

The 90's version? If it's still available, then sure.

Recent stuff I've seen:

Guardians of the Galaxy - Dug the heroes and the soundtrack. Could've been better with the villains, but still enjoyed it.

Mud - Had it on iTunes, but didn't see it until this weekend. Feels like a perfect compliment to Winter's Bone, in terms of authentic Southeastern USA storytelling. Good stuff.

Brick - Saw it on Vudu before, but watched it again. I can see how some might not dig it, but I love it.

BloodTies - Gave up halfway through. I like the two lead actors, but things never clicked with me.

I watched a few things this weekend.

Above the Law - I never liked Stephen Seagal when I was younger and I still don't. A very generic 80's action movie with Sharon Stone having a minor part in it.

The Miniaturist - A miniseries that takes place in 17th century Amsterdam. I liked it quite a bit.

Tequila Sunrise - Slow paced and pretty boring. I thought there would be some action. Mel Gibson, Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer you would think would lead to an interesting movie. Yawn

Disclosure - A movie about a guy being sexually harassed in the workplace? Douglas was good in these thrillers. I'm starting to like Demi Moore's earlier films. I was never a big fan of hers before. Good movie.

Presidio - This one was alright. It loses steam in the middle. One of the few Meg Ryan movies before rom-coms completely took over her career.

Two good ones, two stinkers and one average one.

I sure hope Walmart gets Solo to me tomorrow. It helps if they at least ship it first.
