The main reason why this group jumped ship from the rama was bc membership was not growing and if anything it was dwindling to the point the review thread got to a couple pages a week and that's it. Amlah started it up here and changed the rules to create an atmosphere where people can come and go as they please and not feel obligated to the group which I think has worked just fine. Having strict rules around this type of group pushes people away and why would we want to do that? I like it here bc I get ideas about new stuff to read. If we start getting all Nazi about the rules it's gonna become less fun for everyone.

THE STRANGE ADVENTURES OF H.P. LOVECRAFT #1 (of 4)

story MAC CARTER, art TONY SALMONS, cover ADAM BYRNE

40 PAGES, FC, $3.99

When an ancient curse transforms young H.P. Lovecraft’s darkest nightmares into reality, the timid writer becomes both an unwitting god of destruction and the only person who can battle the evil he’s unleashed into the world. One part biography, one part horror pulp, one part fugitive thriller and you have... one weird tale indeed.

Why does the cover say 499 cents?

Nice. It'll be like Muppets week, just with more tentacles.

The solicitation says $3.99, hence my confusion.

You can always review late. ;) It'll make my upcoming supremely late review seem more timely. :D

Giberish is my favorite review style, you should still do it. 8)

Dude if you read my post I'm complaining about the fact that he wants to review another book which he decided to do in another thread. It's easy to skip a week if you don't want to read a book, it opens the review group more.

But it's stupid to go "hey I'm going to review a different book then the pick of the week" we used to have the fourthman's challenge for that didn't we?
