I played with a stronger jaw and chin, but it started to look cartoony.

Like I said, it was personal preference. The piece still looks great.

My Midnighter redesign

Image

I ditched the mask and jacket. He's a killing machine, he doesn't need any of the stuff.

I was commenting on that Midnighter piece when me cable went out.:)

I like it, but I feel he would need some sort of headgear and gloves. Gloves especially, for beating down punks.

The actual rendering looks awesome though.

This is really cool, nice work.

The midnighter piece is cool as well, but personally i quite like his headgear, it has a cool look.

Thanks. :D

I wish Daz would come out with an expansion set for the bodysuit so I could modify and make a custom mask texture for Mike. They have one for Victoria.

I figured I'd post now to be sure to have something for the deadline.
I'm pretty sure I'll have the main guy's detail done by tomorrow, the background figur I'm not so sure about.

Good stuff, all.

I'm gonna throw down now.

Working on some backgrounds but I'm really, really lazy when it comes to them.

Some quick colors:

I have to find my Authority trades for referencing.
I hate trying to draw in front of the internets. I need to vacate to my cave for this kind of shit...

Backgrounds can be very time consuming but I think you did a nice job.
I do think though, that your main figure needs to be a little shorter compared to it.
If his head was at around where his shoulder is now, I think they might match up better.
I was messing around for a while with streetback ground for my piece but I just couldn't get something I thought worked.
I really struggle on backgrounds.
So I took the easy way out.
Another minor thing I think would really make a big difference is the manhole cover in the foreground.
Spending longer on it because it's at the same level as your character would really add to things. I'd think that you would be better off with out that detail if you wasn't going to fit the other objects in that area.

I don't think that should matter too much. Even somebody who can't draw at all should be able to comment on what he makes of something.
