The most successful was Next Issue Project #1, where they succeeded in emulating worn and discolored pages, something I read recently, maybe Grimm #1 had interior pages that aped water rings.

I think that Space Doubles anthology series had a weird texture to the covers, but I might be remembering it wrong

yeah it did... '76 had them. Lots of comics have done it, I was suprised Marvel didn't use it for their Sub-Mariner, Captain America Comics throwbacks.

It's sold out at retailer level.

Image printed the issue overseas before the initial orders because it was cheaper to do the oversized format that way. According to Brandon on yesterday's iFanboy they did a pretty healthy overprint on what they expected the initial orders to be, but it apparently wasn't enough as they've sold through the overprint. A second printing should be out in a few weeks.

I'm apparently the only person on the internet with no interest in Viking, but if that's what's picked, I'll happily grab a copy.

I can't wait for my pick, anyone with half a brain will know what I'm going to choose :-D

at least they had not started the frigging foc yet, that would be a nightmare when Midtown, Mile HIgh and Lone Star triple their orders.
