Midwinter by Matthew Sturges

I've been loving Sturges' work on Jack of Fables and House of Mystery, so I'm going to give this a try even though I don't typically read a lot of fantasy books.

I'm rereading The Belgariad by David Eddings. I tend to do it every other year.

Just finished 'The Damned Utd' by David Peace, all about legendary Football Manager Brian Clough's 44-day spell as manager of Leeds United (my team).

Probably read David Simon and Ed Burns' The Corner next, as it's finally out over here, and then watch the series.

I still haven't managed to pick up Turn Coat yet, but I figure that with no more Dresden books out for at least another year I can kind of pace myself (though I need to read it ASAP).

I just started reading Låt Den Rätte Komma In by John Ajvide Lindqvist: it's the original novel that was adapted into Let The Right One In. I believe it's available in an English translation, but I figured I'd read it in the original Swedish as translations tend to lose something in the process.

I'll have to look for that. Really liked the film, even with the butchered English subtitles.

Edit, found it. It was originally titled Let Me In here, but the new printings post-movie now have it as Let the Right One In.

I still haven't had the chance to see the film, but the book's author also wrote the screenplay, so I figure if you liked it you'll like the book as well and vice versa.

I'm giving some of Jack Mcdevitt's books a go. Oddyssey hasn't been overly impressive, though.
