True, but there tends to be more volumes, and they come out each month. Granted, it's very much worth it for the price, but I tend to have control issues. I'd end up dropping $10 the first week, $60 the second week, stay focused for a month and then drop $80 or more. :-D

Get Pluto. Right now it's my least favorite of the three, and I can still see it being one of my all time favorite reads.

Yep, read the first chapter of 20th Century Boys, I liked it, but the time-jumps were a little confusing at first, I am intrigued by that eye symbol.

I'll probably get the first volume next week.

Punchy, 20th Century Boys is for you if you're a die hard superhero fan. Dont ask me to explain that.

Chris, trust me Monster will be one of the best reads of your life. One could easily think it predictable until they are totally engrossed in the middle of it and think "fuck! I really dont know what's going to happen next" The great thing about the story is not the mystery of the killer but the mystery of his history and how friggin random and coincidental the doctor is compared to how the all the other characters connects with Johann yet the doctor is still the center of it all.

I dont want to spoil anything but the words that kept creeping on my head throughout the entire series was "moral center". Let me finish with that.

I'm not saying you as in you! I meant anybody who is a die hard superhero fan would appreciate it more than Monster. Then again I'm saying this as someone who've read it til the end. I dont have luxury with Pluto.

One day you will learn to not doubt the one two punch of an Amlah/Fourthman recommendation. The two of us apart have our peculiarities, but together we are an unstoppable force of great comics reading.

Vol. 3 of Pluto and Vol. 2 off 20th have not been distributed by Diamond yet. So for people with steep discounts like me, it is getting to be a little upsetting.

Ah.

My LCS doesn't carry either book, so I have no choice but to go through book stores.

I've gotten all five volumes of the two books out already for under $10 each.
