I should take this opportunity to tell my beloved Costa Rican friend that this is no more the real El Santo than it is the real Jesus. It's just the director's fat friend in a luchadore mask. :D

He DID, but after all his dialogue was recorded, someone pointed out the conflict of interest: Arnett is the official commercial voiceover guy for another car company, that ISN'T the company which owns KITT.

So, Val Kilmer was brought in to totally redo KITT's voice, and I think he did a great job.

They SHOULD have gotten William Daniels. I wonder if the reason they couldn't might have something to do with the feature film version....

But Rowe's voice wouldn't work.... too stand-out ish.
