EVS got rid of the crotch with Rebirth, but I think that looks stupid.
It reminds me of when they took away Batman's trunks in the 90s.

Exactly. Which is why it's stupid IMO that everyone (more people then CountD have said this) are bitching about the gloves and saying shit about how they need to stick to the "classic" version when I don't think people even know that the difference between the "First Flight" version and the "classic" version would necessitate changing more then just the gloves.

Getting hung up on GL's white gloves = worse than cosplayers.

White gloves would be my only complaint about the First Flight costume (I haven't seen the movie yet, but it's on the top of my Netflix queue). The ring needs to be the focal point, moreso than the chest symbol. From a color theory standpoint, they're drawing attention away from the ring by putting it on a green glove.

LOL, I can't argue with that.  :x :P

Actually the glove is black. It's the forearm that's green. And from a a "color theory standpoint" black is a good background for green. :P

Since i saw this commercial i've reiterated to myself that being judged for your hobby isn't pleasent and i don't want to be a judgemental, generalising, superficial douche (not aimed at you Punch).

Possibly NSFW

Like all things the coplaying community has it's better members and it's weaker ones but it does no harm and can entertain in various fashions. And you can get good simple costumes:

and astonishingly complicated ones.

I'd never take part in it though, not my thing, but then again neither is sewing an X-patch onto my jacket in referrrence to a throwaway scene in Scott Pilgrim (aimed at you Punch  )
