When I went into the asylum while not logged in, it showed newstand threads as well.

That needs to be fixed.

On an aside, is it possible to have a greater number of subscribed threads then we can have now? I miss having the near endless number we could have at the old Rama.

Any chances of this Jude? :D

There's a limit on subscribed threads? Have you tried using bookmarks?

I'll see about changing the limit.

As for the other thing, anyone else wanna weigh in on whether it's good or bad?

Have you set the option in your profile to "No"?

I've tried both and do the bookmark thing for the NuNuRama as I only go to the one thread there.

Thanks, I like it as I can access those threads quickly on any internet connection, hence my asking. :-D

I don't care for it. It makes things confusing and for finding certain or just easily seeing certain threads, it became more difficult. The only way I could see it working for myself, is if the forums were contrasted somehow as with fonts or even colours. Coloured fonts or coloured forum boxes or even a little line that said, "from the newstand...", that sort of thing.

But it works if you turn it off though, right? You're only talking about when you're not logged in? What we have to decide is whether having the feature turned on for people who aren't logged in (the majority of whom are lurkers) will be a good or bad thing. I suppose, since the goal is to get more people to TALK comics, it doesn't really matter for lurkers to see the threads in the asylum. But let's hear some more opinions before we make a decision.

Oh Jude, I just remembered... is there a way to select what e-mail we want under the e-mail button that shows in each post?

Whichever one you use in your forum profile is the one that will show up there.

Correct, I wasn't logged in and saw that. I've also set the option to "no" for when logged in.

I think it makes things more convoluted for them. There are a number who may only be interest in the one forum and not the other. A separate merged forum I think is better. But with that a contrast between the tow forums would be needed. I like this way more as it gives a choice for the lurkers and the members as to which forum they want to see or a combined one. At times a combined one could be more easier for them to go though.

I always go with giving folks options and flexibility. I think this is where NuNuRama continues to fail. That and the thing is so slow there. But I digress. :-D

Ahh, the thing is, I use two now. One for the "lords" and one I've set up for everyone else. I found that the "lord" one is showing up under that button when I activated it.
I kind of prefer the other one.

It's just in a sense making it easier for people to decide to e-mail me, rather then go see the profile for the public one.

In other words, in case I've confused you, one e-mail is for private and for the staff to be able to use and the other is for everyone else. Just a preference that's kicked up for me after the past year's particular events.

It's optional. Go to your profile, click on Forum Profile (the place where you change your sig), and find the option for "Show Comics Threads in the Asylum" and turn it to no.
