Seeing what would've happened on Earth-1 (the Pre COIE E-1) has always been interesting to me. One where Alan Moore's Superman story happened, along with WW on Olympus and Flash in the 30th century.

That would have been awesome to see.

Is that the same as the merged Earth at the end of CoIE #12?

Obviously, you're some skinny, single nerd living on the East Coast who probably derives value in life from wrestling matches, hoping that Wolverine gets to sleep with teenagers and engaging in casual drug use. You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

That's the exact thing I hate about DC's. They just do a crossover because well it's the summer and they HAVE to have one. There's no clear plan or endpoint. I may not like all of Marvel's crossovers but House of M, Annihilation, Civil War, Secret Invasion, they all were planned out and gave the 616 a new status quo. I even enjoyed some of the shake ups.

The real problem is that DC isn't committed to their events. Both Infinite Crisis and Final Crisis made major changes to the DC status quo, but no one seemed truly willing to commit to them, and we were right back to the way things were within a few months (or the books just fell apart).

I would rather see events build naturally from what occurs in some of the bigger books. The Sinestro Corps War and Blackest Night are good examples; the recent Crisis books were not. If the next big event builds out of New Krypton, then I think that could end up being quite good.

And then the big event is the Post-Crisis DCU trying to bring back their reality, fighting against the Pre-Crisis DCU.

That sounds like continuity-obsessed, aimed only at old men, self-serving rubbish.

So of course it's obviously what they'll do.

It could be, I guess. But it might work better as a kind of "What If" thing where COIE didn't happen. Kind of what Geoff Johns did with E-2 in JSoA. What would E-1 look like with Flash in the 30th century, WW on Olympus, post Whatever Happened to...Supes, etc.

Is Claremont's X-Men Forever still doing well? If it is, maybe DC will try their own version, to satisfy the "old men"?

I think it is unfortunately. Most of DC's books are aimed at old men anyway.

Not this one. Even though I wait for the trades, I haven't bought a DC trade from the past three or four years, but have from Marvel.
