Heroic Tendencies Studios

Postby Michael Sacal » Tue Sep 08, 2009 8:24 pm

It's not much of a studio yet, but I'm working on some new stuff.

http://www.heroictendencies.com/

Check it out to keep up to date with our current projects, like Witchfinder (set up at Urang Utan Comics - Lord Simian will appreciate that, I'm sure, heh), and Megapolis, which we are currently working on for a pitch with an artist.

You can also check out 12 pages of art from Knights Legacy.

looks good man. Lots of nice ideas on there, good luck with them. The pages of 'pendragon' lokk very nice.

the only thing i would say is that you need to tidy up that banner logo at the top of the page.

Thanks.

What's wrong with the logo?

I like how the dragon's head sticks out of the blue background.

That would be fine but having the dragon be black makes it harder to see against the darker parts of the blue. I'd either lighten up the blue or make the dragon a different color.

Better, though now the font should probably be a different color. :P

Unless you're heart is set on that particular font style, I'd go with a regular, flat font with a small black border or drop shadow.

Okay, let me see what I can come up with.

It's coming along. What's the next big step for Heroic Tendencies now?

Thanks

Right now, work continues on the Kickstarter for Knights Legcy: Awakening of the Pen Draig (https://www.facebook.com/KnightsLegacy?ref=hl), 144 page graphic novel published by Heroic Tendencies Studios in association with What The Flux comics. An artist, J. Andrey Portilla, has produced a ton of artwork to go along with the campaign and serve as rewards in the form of lithographs, while another artist, Arturo Z. Gutierrez, is working on a painted poster that will be given away as a reward and will serve as a cover.

You can see Andrey's art for KL in the link above, and see an example of Arturo's painted work here https://www.facebook.com/ArtGut/media_s ... 382&type=3

Upon successful completion of the Kickstarter, WTF will publish the novel sometime next year. In the event that the Kickstarter were to fail, I'd have to look into other alternatives to get the novel published. Having art work gives me a stronger position than if I didn't have it.

Very cool. I really hope the KS thing works out for you, as that's how mine was funded as well.

Check it whenever you get the chance...
