Oh no, something in the Marvel Universe isn't credible! Heaven forfend! ![]() |

But this is comic book time. How much time has really passed in the MU since the end of SI? |

I know, and I am looking forward to that finally happening. Basically, no one can do anything to Norman until then, and it just doesn't make any sense that no one calls attention to the body count at this point. It's like no one in the 616 has a cell phone camera or youtube or a cerebral cortex. I know I'm questioning fictional characters in a make-believe situation, but I read the first 2 Frontline minis (unfortunately) and they've set Urich and company up as investigative journalists. There's so much collateral damage it seems like at this point you'd have to have a double-sized paper to print it all. |

Yep, I can't really buy it. I did figure you'd go for the cheap shot, tho, nicely done! |

They've shown that Norman is effective at using the media, and also shown that he is intimidating and threatening journalists. How long did it take Woodward and Bernstein to finally get to the bottom of Watergate? 2 years or so, and Norman is a lot worse than Nixon. |

Honestly? It seems like a lot. Didn't they commemorate one year since Cap's death (in a comic) or is it my imagination? There are a lot of bodies piled up anyway. |

Cap #600 was a year since his death. |

Different era, you weren't even around! Surely you might have just an inkling of the way media has evolved since then? Maybe not. And Norman makes Nixon seem the height of subtlety! |
I thought as much. So, McKegan, there you go. |

But Cap's death took place long before Osbourn's rise to power. |

I've seen All The President's Men! Media has evolved, but I don't see how that would help bring Norman down, are they going to Twitter him to death? Norman has managed to control any media problems, he diffused Clint Barton's accusations, he got rid of security footage showing him as the Goblin slaughtering people, and painted Doc Samson as a bad guy. He is smart, and it'll take more than a few youtube clips to topple him. |
But evolved for the better? |
Didn't seem like it. But you have to be more specific than "long before" or I think it's just your perception. |
Well, you were saying it had been a year since Cap's death, but that doesn't relate to how long Norm's been in power. I just wasn't sure what one had to do with other. |
Well, I think they are closer together in comic book time than you do, apparently. |
