I have the standard non-accent Accent from being born and raised in South Florida. Being white. Around multi-ethnic cultures and peoples.

You'd think I'd have some sort of damn decent accent!

I used to fake different accents at the bar with different waitresses.

Ah, undergrad. Those were the days.

fake an accent? Not usually, but during certain activities it can be fun. Saying "naughty, naughty" in a cockney accent is a surefire way to turn on anyone, male or female :p.

I have to say: not many Americans can do British accents properly. It's the whole Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins thing...

It's true! It's either that or the whole Gwyneth Paltrow talking-through-pinched-nose thing.

Since the only accent I can accurately fake is a more Indian one, I try not to do that because then I sound like Apu.
