Because of the nature of the game, with it being set in the middle of a war, you can do either. You can be stealthy, or you can go guns a' blazin.
Now that sounds fun. I like using both methonds.

Cut Scenes in video games are the worst creation ever. If I'm playing a game, I want to play a game. Not sit passively in front of the TV doing nothing. I have cable for that.

And that's perfectly fine. But clearly there's a HUUUGE market for this.
I think games like MGS are breaking boundries.. games are no longer just games.. they're
experiences. You can sit down to watch one just like a movie, but play at the same time.

At the one I went to, no, because it's a smaller Gamestop branch, and I asked how many copies they had and they said 40.. and I don't think all the people showed up anyway, at least not when I showed up at 11:55. But on my way home, at the other branch that was doing a midnight launch closer to my house the line was almost around the block.

I'm not dissing MG, I've yet to play one since the NES, but always wanted to get into it. I just don't like the trend of making games like movies. I think a lot of storytelling can be done in the game without frequent pauses for chit-chat.

Besides a select few like MGS4 and Mass Effect I think that a lot of games are trying to get away from long extended cut scenes and provide more in-game interaction instead of just watching people talk.

It's just a different style. Maybe even a different genre, if you will.

I just read that MGS4 will be the final Hideo Kojima-produced/directed Metal Gear game. He's said it would be, but it sucks to see it confirmed.. he also said that while the
Metal Gear games would continue, this will be the last one starring Solid Snake..
Who will the next MG game star? Raiden? A new clone of Big Boss? Or maybe a clone of Snake?
