If I'm playing a video game, the strategy is fun. If I'm watching it on TV, I wanna see somebody who can hit the damn ball.

That's only because they suck. If more pitchers put the amount of work into their batting that guys like Owings and Zambrano do, they'd do better.

The pitcher batting is ridiculous, but it's still not as stupid as interleague play.

Well, I'd agree with a pitcher that was converted into a hitter -- ala Rick Ankiel.

I can't stand the DH

I hate the DH as well. It's why I prefer the NL. More strategy involved in managing the pitching staff and manufacturing runs.

Not to mention that usually the dh spot is for the guy who can't field for shit but can hit, or the aging superstar. I prefer NL rules. Plus, pitchers like Glavine and Zambrano are known good hitters.

The presence of the designated hitter doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game one way or the other. Its never going to go away, though.

So Wang might be out for the season. :(

The New York Times says that the Yankees are now going to go all out for Sabathia.

What do you guys think a potential trade would be?

It would take a lot because he's a Type A free agent and the Indians still have a legitimate shot at coming back

Yeah. I dont think Kennedy is really that desirable to other teams.

Jesus -- baseball players are the biggest bunch of princesses; they barely qualify as athletes, and Wang's sprained ankle causing him to possibly miss the rest of the year is case in point.
